Bruch the project manager for the social media research centre project. Under his guidance, the project of developing a website for the SMRC or Social Media research centre. The clients will be the masters and post-doctoral students who are interested in researches on social media. The department consists of several subject matter experts in social media subject. Alex has contacted with an international expert, who is willing to help in this project. In the next part of the report, project charter, RACI matrix, stakeholder analysis, milestone report, WBS, critical path and Gantt diagram etc. will be discussed. Prepared on: Signed By: RACI Matrix RACI matrix is a tool that helps in identifying the roles and responsibilities of the team members in a project management team. During the project RACI matrix helps in avoiding confusions among the members on the roles and responsibilities assigned to them. RACI is the acronym for, Responsible, Accountable, Consulted and Informed. Each of these terms has relationships with the project. (PMI, 2010) A task in completed by a person or team member. Thus that person has the responsibility to accomplish the task and making decision about it. For example, the responsibility of business analyst is to carry out the requirement and system analysis, the responsibility of a website designer is to design the website and so on. A team member or person is accountable for completion of a task correctly. This is the project sponsor or executive who is accountable for the project. Responsible persons are accountable to this person for approval of their works. There is usually one accountable to a project. People who are consulted for a project through a both way communication, fall into this category of RACI matric. There is number of people in this group. For example, the subject matter experts. Informed is the group of people who should be informed about the progress of the project. There is only one way communication to this group. The people from this group get affected by outcomes of the tasks hence, they needed up to information about progress of the project. Stakeholders can have direct relation or indirect relation to a project and can get effected highly or low. Throughout the project, the key stakeholders are needed to take participation in the project. A stakeholder prioritization matrix can be used in this case to finding out the key stakeholders.3. Opinions from the stakeholders will be considered in any situation. No opinion should be ignored without proper explanations and reasoning. (Caruso, 2002)4. Communication is important for ensuring engagement of the stakeholders into the project. An effective communication plan should be followed. Every stakeholder should be involved about the progress of the project periodically.5. The management policy itself must be flexible enough.
